Karen Bass says it's 'abhorrent' to send illegal immigrants to her sanctuary city

Another worthless incompetent coon. How do supposedly intelligent
people elect fools like this?
Democrats are still loudly complaining about how terrible it is that Texas
is sending illegal immigrants to their sanctuary cities, and yet they
still have no explanation as to why it is terrible.

The latest is Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, following the messaging used
by Democrats in Chicago and New York City as Texas finally decided to send
illegal immigrants to her city. “It is abhorrent that an American elected
official is using human beings as pawns in his cheap political games,”
Bass said.

GAVIN NEWSOM’S CAMPAIGN TO REPEAL THE SECOND AMENDMENT

She decried the “despicable stunt” and “petty politicians playing with
human lives.”

But why is this abhorrent? Why is it despicable and petty? These illegal
immigrants aren’t being rounded up and forced onto buses or planes to go
to these liberal cities. They are being offered transportation and
accepting it.

Let’s even take her claim that they are being used as “pawns” as fact. In
this case, being used as a pawn means being given transportation to a
loving, tolerant sanctuary city that promises to accept you and protect
you, does it not?

Even if this is all some cynical game by Gov. Greg Abbott, isn’t he still
doing what is best for these illegal immigrants? Los Angeles City Council
members said just last week that immigrants were the “very fabric of this
city” and deserved a “true sanctuary city.” Is that no longer the case?

This is the hurdle that Democrats in Chicago and New York City also
stumbled at when Texas began sending them illegal immigrants.

In no way is it “cruel” or “abhorrent” to send people to a place that has
promised to take care of them, when those people are volunteering to go
there. Texas’s border towns are overrun and cannot care for them, so why
would America’s largest cities that have declared themselves “sanctuaries”
not be the logical place to help them get to?

This is nothing more than Bass, like the Democratic mayors before her,
trying to project strength and show that this doesn’t rattle her. The fact
that the Democratic mayors before her also immediately began raising the
alarm about the strain on resources that the arrival of a few illegal
immigrants led to shows that it has failed repeatedly.

Until the border crisis is fixed, Texas should continue to hold sanctuary
cities to their promises. Bass and other mayors can only complain from a
position of weakness.

I knew she was just another worthless coon.
Georgia’s voter registration numbers put to bed both the myths about the
state being a bastion of “voter suppression” and about Stacey Abrams being
some political force worthy of praise for her political talents.

A new study from the nonpartisan Center for Election Innovation and
Research indicates that Georgia’s automatic voter registration system is
responsible for the rise in registration numbers since 2016. The program
modernized the registration process and made it more convenient and
efficient while keeping voter information updated, and it saw Georgia’s
registration numbers jump from 78% in 2016 to 88% in 2018 and 98% in 2020.

GAVIN NEWSOM’S CAMPAIGN TO REPEAL THE SECOND AMENDMENT

Georgia’s registration numbers have often been attributed by Democrats to
Abrams, who they claimed was running a voter registration movement that
helped push President Joe Biden to victory in 2020. That claim was made in
part because Abrams’s own results have been lackluster, losing by 55,000
votes in 2018 and 300,000 votes in 2022, and the gushing coverage of her
wouldn’t be justified without some sort of victory.

But Abrams’ registration drive was at best a wash; the Center “singled
out” Georgia “for its bipartisan approach to registration.”

On top of that, the rising registration numbers are yet another nail in
the coffin of the voter suppression myth that was being pushed by Abrams
after her loss, as well as other Democrats, including Biden. According to
the myth, Georgia was somehow “suppressing” votes while increasing voter
registration by ten points in two different election cycles. The numbers
dipped to 92% in 2022, but that is considered a normal decline, since it
wasn’t a presidential election cycle.

Of course, we already knew the suppression claims were a joke because
Abrams could provide no evidence of suppression in her lawsuits, and
because Georgia saw record turnout in each of her losses. At best, Abrams
is a mediocre political talent who fell short in a Democratic wave year
and whined about cheating ever since without ever being able to prove it.

There will be no reckoning among Democrats or their establishment media
allies over this, though. Abrams is an election denier who gets celebrity
treatment from outlets such as CNN, while Democrats still don’t have to
answer for their absurd claims that the 2018 election was stolen from her.

The numbers show that the narratives around her were always a myth, and
Democrats and establishment journalists shouldn’t be allowed to forget it.
